Packaging Services
Our Packaging facility located in the Goulburn Valley at Nagambie, has two production lines each capable of speeds of up to 6,000 x 750ml bottles per hour output.
Line 1
Line 1 was installed and commissioned in May 2000, and has the following features:
- DEPALLETISING: KOSME fully automated.
- PROMEC: Bottle rinsing machine.
- BC: Low vacuum filler.
- AROL: Corker.
- AROL: 4 head Stelvin, screw capper.
- NORTAN: Bottle dryer.
- NORTAN: Automatic capsule applicator and shrinker.
- AROL: Lead spinner, for tin, polylaminate capsule spinning.
- BOTTLE LASER CODERS: For permanent lot coding and traceability.
- SONIC AIR KNIVES: Provide assurance of dry bottles pre labelling.
- KOSME: Labelling machine, with ink jet capability to label or bottle. Pressure Sensitive Options.
- RECOPAK: Case over-packers.
- CARTON PRINTING: Multiple ink jet stencil capabilities and/or Dual print and apply label application.
- PALLETISING: Currently performed manually.
Line 2
Line 2 was installed and commissioned early in 2004, and has the following features:
- DEPALLETISING: KOSME fully automated.
- PROMEC: Bottle rinsing machine.
- BC: Counter pressure filling machine.
- AROL: Corking machine.
- AROL: 4 head Stelvin screw capper.
- NORTAN: Bottle dryer.
- NORTAN: Automatic capsule applicator and shrinker.
- BOTTLE LASER CODERS: For permanent lot coding and traceability.
- SONIC AIR KNIVES: Provide assurance of dry bottles pre labelling.
- KOSME: Labelling machine, with ink jet capability to label or bottle. Pressure Sensitive Options.

Quality Checks
We perform many QA checks on line during the bottling and packaging process. Some examples of these are as follows:
- Extensive sterilisation and sanitation processes and microbiological verifications.
- Regular dissolved oxygen.
- Taste-ins on commencement of each run or following sterilisations.
- Screw cap torque and bubble testing.
- Average fill volume checks.
- Vacuity (headspace) measurement.
- In bottle vacuum checks (cork closures).
- Label gap and height checks.
- First complete carton, total inspection against work order.
Numerous other checks are performed with the aim to provide a dependable quality assured process and thereby offer our customers peace of mind that with Ozpak their product is in safe hands.
We have the capability to run most Claret and Burgundy 750ml and 1.5 Litre Claret and Burgundy Glass bottles. Plus a range of other glass containers. Please contact our Customer Services department for further information.
We provide extensive one-on-one training for all key operators and for all staff in HACCP and BRC requirements. We have extensive policies relating to quality control and product trace ability and a strong commitment to all issues relating to OH&S.
